Bottlemania, a Book Review (B2C)

Greetings, all.

A quick book review today on Bottlemania, by Elizabeth Royte. This book was written in 2008, and was surprising to me then, and just as powerful in my reread this past month. A few photos of pages are below.

First, a revelation of the use of water to make water bottle, wine, beer, and soda. Yikes.

Second, a revelation about the energy gain from waste burning, and how the math doesn’t pencil out in any way.

Finally, another issue with corn plastics. This issue also has not changed! Corn plastics actually make recycling less successful even now.
