Toxic emissions\u00a0just don&#8217;t go away&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Per the included article, the\u00a0current costs established by the EPA and supported by a\u00a0Federal Court ruling\u00a0are\u00a0$36 per ton of carbon emitted. To\u00a0put this in perspective for the construction\u00a0industry, creating\u00a0one ton of Portland cement produces about one ton of carbon emissions. For every ton of cement, add in about $40\u00a0to begin to deal with\u00a0the health burdens created by CO2 emissions&#8230;and plan accordingly.
