Part 2 – The Soap Business and the Inspiration of Family (S2C E11)

It was so fun to talk with Mark Harrison about Black Kettle Soap, Company, his family’s craft-made soap and cleaning product business. Located in Troy, NY, this small-batch business was inspired by the needs of his family, and met by the skills of his wife, Erica. We were so intrigued by Mark and his family. He shared with us his children’s’ involvement in the soap business and their ongoing entrepreneurial spirits, including an exceptional mural artist making a mark in Albany, NY. we talked further about the role of family and the potential for small, local, sole-owner business, farmer’s markets, and incubator centers.

It is a joy to talk with someone passionate about his business and totally in love and inspired by his family.

Mark has been inspired by his family, intrigued by his research into non-toxic ingredients, and supported by the growing interest in small batch production. Let’s hope we all catch a bit of his passion for life, love, and learning!
